Past Experience Matters - What Kate Brings to the Table

Before entering real estate Kate worked in the fast paced arena of public relations. Working with some of Canada’s largest corporations – Kate was responsible for creating and managing marketing programs and communication strategies. Her role pivoted around presenting a polished and positive company image through broadcast and print media. She accomplished this through a series of well-established media channel connections. It was here Kate attained her corporate skill set and learned the intrinsic importance of cultivating client relationships.

Her past employment includes:

Canada 3000 Corporate Communications - Kate worked regularly with local and national media in delivering a positive company brand image; she worked exclusively on new destination launches, travelled the network extensively representing the airline as a promotions representative, and contributed to Canada 3000’s Initial Public Offering (IPO).

Thornley Fallis Communications - Kate managed marketing and public relations for a number of agency clients. Her focus was to ensure positive media coverage through the production of media materials: news releases, and copywriting. As an account executive Kate worked in the agency marketing communication and government relations departments, her client list included: Nike, Molson, Unilever, Prime Restaurants, and The Royal Canadian Mint.

Ongoing Education - Committed to Continuing Excellence

As a proponent of continuing education, Kate is an avid and active participant of the Harvard Negotiations Institute; Kate undertook the start of her Executive Education through the Program on Negotiations at Harvard Law School, Cambridge Massachusetts, in 2017. She has since completed her Negotiations Masters Certificate from the Program on Negotiations, Harvard Law School in the spring of 2019.

As a professional practitioner of real estate Kate is an advocate for ongoing professional self-development.

As a proponent of continuing education, Kate is an avid and active participant of the Harvard Negotiations Institute; Kate undertook the start of her Executive Education through the Program on Negotiations at Harvard Law School, Cambridge Massachusetts, in 2017. She further completed her Negotiations Masters Certificate from the Program on Negotiations, Harvard Law School in the spring of 2019. Kate has since completed her certificate in mediation and conflict resolution from Harvard Law School, Cambridge Massachusetts in 2022.

Most recently Kate contributed as co-author of Luxury Home Selling Mastery, currently available in bookstores and Amazon.com. The book provides a behind-the-scenes look at the marketing and selling of luxury real estate and has been used as a powerful resource for those brokers looking to enter the luxury landscape.
